The History of the World, London: Walter Burre [colophon: William Jaggard for Walter Burre], 1621. 5 books in one volume. 2° (335 x 220mm.). Engraved allegorical frontispiece by R. Elstracke, engraved portrait of the author on title, 8 double-page maps and plans by William Hole, genealogical table, initials. (Some light mainly marginal staining and spotting, one plan torn and repaired at margin). Modern half calf, spine lettered and ruled in gilt (extremities lightly rubbed). Provenance: Edmund N. Kershaw (armorial bookplate); Warrington Museum label; early illegible inscription on title.
