(Map torn and repaired on verso, lightly soiled at margins, a few spots and some very light browning, part IV lacks all after Dd1). Contemporary half vellum gilt (rubbed and scuffed).
A German edition based on George Edward's Natural History of Uncommon Birds and Gleanings of Natural History (London, 1743). The plates were re-engraved by Seligman who also, in a number of cases, added botanical and topographical backgrounds to very decorative effect.
