An Austrian gilt-metal and enamelled clock
Possibly Vienna, circa 1850
On four foliate claw feet, the lower band with two tritons on sea-horses white enamel dial with arabic chapters above, surrounded by masks, stylised scrolls, vases and foliage, the sides each with a standing knight in a arched and columned niche, all with vari-coloured enamel, the back with arched door painted in enamel with the Holy Mary and Mary Magdalen lifting the tomb and similar triton frieze below, the finial with St. George and the dragon, in green, blue, red and white enamel
