Mark of Alger Mensma, Amsterdam, 1737, also struck with later Dutch duty mark of 1853-1953
On a circular plain spreading base, baluster body with shaped short spout and a wooden double scroll handle, the upper section engraved with trelliswork, tassels, C-scrolls and foliage, detachable domed cover with stepped circular centre and baluster finial, base engraved 2, marked on base
