Late 19th Century
the figures head, hands and feet in ivory, wearing long robes and cloth hat, holding a thin rope attached to a bucket, the fish eye inlaid in mother-of-pearl and himotoshi inlaid in ivory, the underside with a red lacquer tablet signed Somei -- 1 7/8in. (4.8cm.) long, (minor wear).
