A boxwood box and cover
19th Century
carved in the form of a large lotus pod with further trailing pods and rats clambering all over, inlaid eyes -- 2¾in. (7cm.) wide; and a lacquer mother-of-pearl inlaid rectangular box and hinged cover, decorated with a pavilion within a tree-lined mountainous landscape -- 5 1/8in. (13cm.) wide, (minor knocks to lacquer box).
