A four-case tortoiseshell inro
19th Century
decorated in gold hiramakie and takamakie, hirame, kirikane and red lacquer, with a lady wearing long foliate robes seated in a flattened vessel beneath the long overhanging branches of a willow tree, horn double gourd ojime, the inro -- 2.5in. (6.5cm.) high, (a few small areas restored, minor wear and losses).
