The first Katabori, stained boxwood; an oni hiding sheltering under Shoki's hat to protect himself from a hail of dried beans thrown at him during the New Year setsubun ceremony, the beans realistically rendered in lighter-stained ivory, the himotoshi formed by the oni's right ankle, signed with incised characters on his left leg Masamitsu, with a kao; Katabori, stained boxwood; a model of a paper-wasp nest, two of the hexagonal cells still covered and another three containing larvae in another material, the himotoshi formed by two holes in the side on either side of one of the cells, signed with incised and stained characters on a rounded rectangular reserve Tomohisa
