Katabori, stained ivory; a powerful model of a tiger resting on its left side, its head turned sharply to the right as it scratches its chin with its right hind leg, its tail stretched along its right side, the eyes inlaid in dark horn, the coat rendered in outlined areas of plain ivory contrasting with incised and stained lines, the himotoshi formed by a large and small hole in the base, the larger possibly enlarged
