Lot Essay

Cf. a plate of the same pattern, from the Collection of Charles-Otto Zieseniss, sold in our Paris Rooms, 6th December 2001, lot 242.

This service is of the pattern commissioned from Sèvres by Count Montmorin de Saint'Hérem; his name was thereafter associated with it. It was however evidently a stock pattern available to other clients.
