This was car was ordered for the use of 'L.S' at Rolls-Royce, being delivered to him at Crewe in October 1962, it was originally finished in Smoke green with a tan upholstery. It is interesting to note that a guarantee was not issued. It should not be a surprise that the car was ordered with extensive special features, unusual for a Standard bodied car. These included electric windows, air conditioning, grab handle on the fascia board above the passenger's glove compartment, safety harness to the front seats to name a few. Rolls-Royce retained the car till February 1970 passing to a Dr Levin at The Grosvenor House, Park Lane London. It is not known how long Dr A Levin owned the car, but it was sold to Japan in the 1990s. Finished with green to the top, silver to the bottom of the car, there is evidence of corrosion to the sills but the rest of the car seems to be in good condition. The interior is finished in red, in excellent condition having been recently re-trimmed having had very little use since.

Due to the length of time that the car been in the collection, Christie's would recommend that before the car had any use, a full mechanical inspection was completed.

An opportunity to acquire the final evolution of the Silver Cloud series, which has an extremely interesting ownership history. Due to the first owner's relationship to the factory, it must represent as one of the best specified Standard Steel Saloons produced. It is sold with copies of the company chassis cards.
