A pair of Berlin dark-blue-ground two-handled oviform vases and covers
Circa 1880, blue sceptre marks
Each painted with classical vignettes of scantily-draped females and with male figures in attendance, the reverse with sprays of flowers, both within roundels gilt and tooled with tied laurels issuing flowers, the shoulder moulded with an egg-and-dart pattern, the lower sections with serpents and stiff-leaf bands, on stepped circular bases (some rubbing to the gilding)
