A German gilt-metal hexagonal striking table clock with alarm

The silver champlevé dial with Roman and Arabic chapters and alarm disc to the centre, pierced and engraved gilt-metal hour and minute hands, foliate engraved spandrels with two movement securing nib pieces, the movement with gilt hexagonal plates secured by five baluster pillars, chain fusee for the going train with verge escapement with elaborate foliate pierced and engraved footed cock, with steel three-arm balance wheel and hairspring regulated from a silvered disc to the side calibrated 0 to 60, the strike train with gilt going barrel elaborately engraved with foliage on a hatched ground and with elaborately pierced and chased strike gates, calibrated countwheel, the alarm with foliate engraved barrel striking on the bell via two hammers, the gilt back plate signed B FÜRSTENFELDER FRIEDBERG, the case with oval framed and glazed apertures to the band, the moulded base with hinged movement cover pierced to house the bell secured by four gilt-brass straps and resting on three elaborate scroll feet
