The case with moulded socle base on bun feet applied with silver decorative mounts, volutes to the sides, the cross raised on a circular moulded pedestal with three figures at the base depicting the Virgin Mary, St. John the Baptist and kneeling in the centre the figure of Mary Magdalen, the Christ figure secured by three blued steel nails beneath a scroll inscription INRI beneath a resplendent eagle with blued pointer indicating to the revolving silver Roman chapter ring circumventing a small gilt globe surmounted by a gilt-metal figure representing the risen Christ, the movement signed Michael Muss Zug on the back plate, the going train with foliate engraved gilt barrel and restored foliot verge escapement, the strike train with similarly engraved gilt going barrel and elaborate strike gate with later brass countwheel, the strike on a single bell housed in the galleried base
