The case modelled with figures of crouching grotesques standing on pilasters to the front angles, tracery arches to the sides, with plain rear door, plunge repeat button to the top, the white enamel Arabic dial with gilt dot minute markers and delicate pierced gilt-metal hands, the single barrel movement with silvered platform to a cut bimetallic balance with lever escapement, minute-repeating on two steel gongs via two hammers on a backplate signed NOCTURNE and Louis Grisel and numbered 2337; with satin birch presentation case, the fitted interior with Cyrillic retail signature for JOSIF MARSHAK KIEV
