A collection of dairy items, mainly sycamore and 19th century
comprising; a pair of butter bats with bevelled edge and incised ribs to the handle -- 9in. (22.8cm.) high; another pair of butter bats -- 9½in. (24cm.) high; six butter bats; a butter strainer, handle with hook finial -- 13¾in. (35cm.) high; a ladle and scoop, a brass and steel ash mounted dairy skimmer -- 56in. (142.2cm.) high; a bread peel, of rectangular form with shaped handle -- 18in. (45.8cm.) high; a late cheese making dairy thermometer with sycamore case, and another; a pair of butter scales with turned sycamore pans and balance beam; another pine pair with square pans and balance beam with a hook for hanging; a milking stool and another; a staved willow bound dry storage container, the handled lid with locking mechanism -- 12½in. (32cm.); and two ash bentwood cheese vats or 'chessels' -- 20in. (51cm.) diameter
