A Charles II pewter 'Beefeater' flagon, circa 1670
with twin cusp thumbpiece and 'hallmarks' to lid for William White (Cotterell No. 6030), indistinct touch mark to inside of base, repair to top of handle -- 12in. (30.5cm.) high

Lot Essay

William White (d.1684) became a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Pewterers in 1660. COMPARATIVE LITERATURE:
