the confronting birds carved holding a large lotus spray between their beaks, the feathers finely detailed, on a wavy base simulating a flowing river, some minor russet inclusions, carved wood stand also simulating foaming waves -- 4 1/8in. (10.5cm.) wide, (minute nibble to lotus).
