stamped VTE, with ebony handles and chequer-grip main handle, with release mechanism and chain -- 17½in. (44.5cm.) long; and a 19th-Century wrought-iron chisel-mallet, with chequer-grip ebony handle and indistinct maker's stamp on the shaft -- 15in. (38cm.) long
