signed on the horizontal circle TROUGHTON & SIMMS LTD LONDON, the telescope with rack and pinion focusing and bojective lens ray shade with folding coverthe veritcal circle with bubble level, silvered scale, twin verniers and magnifiers, and two clamps, held on two A frame supports, one stamped No 971 , the horizontal circle with twin bubble levels and clamp and twin viewing tubes for the degree scale with ivorine adjustment wheels, a thin trough compass mounted beneath, with three adjustable screw feet and tripod mounting, in the original fitted mahogany case with plumb bob, spare prismatic eyepiece and screw driver, the lid with a label for C. BAKER 244 HIGH HOLBORN LONDON and a hand written label -- 16¼in. (41.2cm.) wide
