A well engineered 5in. gauge model of the Midland Railway 'Spinner' 4-2-2 locomotive and tender No. 2601 'Princess of Wales',
built by - Saunders with brazed superheated copper boiler with fittings including water and pressure gauges, safety, blower, injector, whistle and clack valves. Engine details include twin inside cylinders with Stephenson's link gear, mechanical lubricator, injector, whistle, dummy brake and sanding gear, detailed horn blocks and bearings, steps, hand and lamp irons. Tender details include two four wheel bogies, hand feed pump, water cock, steps, hand and lamp irons, painted in finely lined MR livery by L. Richards, with raised brass letters and numbers and polished brightwork -- 14½ x 64in. (37 x 162.5cm.) Boiler certificate dated 26.10.86, photos, correspondence, firing irons
