A Meissen Hausmalerei oblong-octagonal sugar-box and cover
Circa 1724, blue K.P.F. mark
Decorated at Augsburg in the Seuter workshop in Eisenrot with ruins in wooded landscape vignettes and with trees flanked by birds on branches between richly gilt borders and C-scrolls, the cover similarly decorated with two birds on branches flanking the octagonal finial (several small re-gilt chips to footrim, wear to rims and to gilding on cover)
