A Meissen model of a cottage
Circa 1755
Modelled as a pale-yellow half-timbered cottage with four windows, a wicker-work first-floor cage and a divided stable-door beneath a pale-yellow thatched roof applied with three doves and a grey chimney-stack, a dog in its kennel at the front, a goose within a fenced pen to one side, the other side with the oven beneath a supported roof, with a girl in a yellow bodice and green skirt seated on a log beside the door, on an oval scroll-moulded base enriched in gilding (restoration to fence, goose, stile and grassy base at side, goose at front restuck at base and with restoration to beak, the girl restored through waist and with implement lacking from hand)
