A Meissen model of 'Taste' from the Senses
Circa 1750
Modelled by J.F. Eberlein as a nymph, scantily draped in a white dress and cloak with indianische Blumen eating an apple from a bowl of fruit and standing on a triangular scroll and gilt rocaille-moulded pedestal, a monkey eating fruit seated at her feet, on a square base (nymph restored through her left shoulder and upper arm, some restoration to top of pedestal and monkey's arms, legs and ears)
