A George III mahogany and inlaid longcase clock, circa 1810
The swan neck hood with outset fluted columns and pie-crust door frame, rectangular trunk door flanked by chamfered angles, the plinth raised on bracket feet, the 12in. white painted dial decorated with conch shell spandrels and with a cluster of peaches and grapes to the arch, with Roman chapter ring and subsidiary seconds ring (rubbed) and date aperture, rubbed signature, pierced steel hands, with falseplate stamped FINNEMORE to the four pillar movement with anchor escapement and rack strike on bell -- 86in. (218cm.) high
