At the Great Classics of Jean-Pierre Moueix tasting at Christie's, May 2002. Very clean rich garnet color, brimming; lots of smoke and tobacco aroma's rise slowly from the glass; tremendous power and length on the palate. Will need at least 30-40 years to reach it's peak (I'm not sure I'm that patient or whether I could resist). Very firmly structured, massive concentration. A classic. Hangs around for a very long time. DW
