Profusely carved with acanthus scrolls, shells and trellis work, the serpentine rectangular shaped upholstered seat with two scrolled arms, conforming apron on cabriole legs terminating in hoof feet, stamped 'SARAZIN' to the underside of the front rail

Lot Essay

Antoine Sarazin, maitre in 22 September 1777 and died in 1782
During his very short career, Sarazin who lived in Rue de Perpignan produced armchairs and chairs of high quality. After his death his widow kept the workshop open until 1784
