A BERLIN METAL MOUNTED TOPOGRAPHICAL TWO HANDLED VASE
Circa 1860
Painted with two panels, one of the Palais Unter den Linden, probably painted by H. Looschen; the other of a palace; both within gilt laurel crowned cartouches reserved on a royal blue ground, the lower body with moulded scrolling serpent and band of stiff leaves, all richly gilt and raised on a fluted blue, white and gilt circular foot and base, and raised on a metal stand with C-scrolls and rocaille decoration, the body with two loop handles with gilt leaf terminals and a metal cover with band of vines and fluted finial, blue KPM and orb mark and blue sceptre and eagle mark
