red lacquer tablet signed Gyokushu, Meiji Period
carved wearing tied robes and headdress, holding his net in both hands whilst standing on rockwork beside foaming waves with two small fish, on an oval base, the underside with an incised basket-- 11 7/8in. (30.2cm.) high, (minor wear).
