Lot Essay

This gig was originally conceived as a two-day event with The Clash headlining on the Friday and Saturday nights supported by The Buzzcocks and Subway sect on the first night, and Generation X and The Slits on the second night. However, when Jon Moss announced that he would leave the band shortly beforehand, and with Generation X scheduled to appear in Leicester on Friday night, the Saturday gig was cancelled. Posters advertising the two-day event had already been circulated and reported in the music press, so this flyer was probably produced hastily to advertise the change of plan.
