A post office telegram from The Beatles to Hugh Cudlipp, editor of the Daily Mirror newspaper, ink-stamped Liverpool North 22 FEB 67, the message reads On this auspicous occasion we the members of that dedicated group of strollers regret with the utmost that we are being held prisoner at recording studios hope our representative Brian Esteem will fill the bill sincerely Paul John George and Ringo, the second page inscribed in black ink in an unidentified hand I don't know what MI5 will make of this tomorrow 2pp.
