19th Century, probably Carron foundry
The uprights modelled with telamone, on dolphin supports with billet bars
17½in (44.4cm.) high;
and a cast-iron fire back depicting a battle scene, 18th Century -- 31¼in. (79cm.) wide; 33in. (84cm.) high (3)

The fire back -- Houstouns of Johnstone, Johnstone Castle, Renfrewshire
