AN EXQUISITE ART NOUVEAU OPAL, GLASS, DIAMOND AND ENAMEL "ROSE" PLAQUE, BY RENE LALIQUE
The oval-cut white opal, within a rose-cut diamond openwork surround, extending undulating polished gold stems with green plique-à-jour enameled leaves, each terminating in a sculpted pink glass rose blossom, with rose-cut diamond trim, the reverse similarly decorated, mounted in gold, (with hoop for suspension), circa 1901
