AN ART NOUVEAU ENAMEL AND GEM-SET "PEACOCK" BROOCH, BY GEORGES FOUQUET
Designed as two opposing peacocks, their entwined sculpted and textured gold bodies, adorned by demantoid garnet accents, extending calibré-cut opal and pale bluish green enameled openwork feathers, the feather "eyes" enhanced by cabochon opals, terminating in a suspended pink blister pearl, circa 1900
