A Berlin coffee-can and saucer Circa 1803, underglaze blue sceptre and blue enamel dash mark to cup, underglaze blue sceptre and incised / L (?) to saucer, painter's 35. to both
The cup painted with blue cornflowers and corn en terrasse below a gilt border at the rim with a band of ovals against hatching between gilt lines, the angular handle enriched in gilding, the border of the saucer with a similar band of cornflowers and corn en terrasse enclosing a similar gilt border at the well, the centre with a gilt rosette, gilt line rims (slight rubbing to gilding on rims and handle)
