Circa 1770
Of rectangular form, the cover inlaid with a basket of flowers and insects, a rosette at each corner, the sides with floral sprays, the interior fitted with compartments and a hinged surface to the underside of the cover, the right side of box side slides out to reveal two trays with indentations for paints
3½in. (9cm.) high, 10¾in. (26.5cm.) wide, 6¼in. (16cm.) deep
