He followed in the illustrious footsteps of his father Harry, who joined Britains in the 1920s at the age of 15 and stayed for 51 years - a remarkable family record. This collection was primarily accumulated from ex-factory stock by Harry Burgess. After leaving Britains, Ron Burgess set up Euro-Mouldings, carrying out sub-contract work for Britains, until production moved to China. He also did work for Charlie Biggs at Premier Models.
