A QAJAR POLYCHROME LACQUER PAPIER MACHE QALAMDAN

With rounded ends and sliding tray, the brown glitter top painted with dense floral panels around three portrait oval cartouches, small landcape panels at each end, inscription bands above and below with Persian verses and the signature "raqam bandeh dargar Fathullah Shirazi sana' 1279", the sides with floral cartouches and occasional landscape panels within gold and black leafy borders, the red base with black lozenge panels all filled with fine gold leafy vine, the deep red tray also with gold palmette vine, very slight damage and restoration at ends
