With sloping rim on short foot, the interior painted with fish-scale moitifs, a central diagonal band coloured blue, the rest coloured green, in a border of cusped triangular motifs, changing at one point to a tight black spiralling motif panel, the exterior with simple blue floral motifs, old collection label on underside, rim fritted

Lot Essay

This dish give the impression of being an experiment on the part of the potter. The change in colour of the fish-scale design with no element dividing the colours is most unusual, as is the small area of spiralling motifs in the border.
