Ottoman Turkey, circa 1565
Divided into two registers, the upper smaller one with the curve of a rounded white letter against a cobalt-blue ground, the lower panel with bold inverted feathery palmettes in white and blue with brilliant red ribs against a green ground, plain narow red border above and below, small surface chips to glaze, a couple retouched, slight chips to edges, occasionally also retouched, metal mount behind
