An embroidered amli rumal shawl, the ground of black wool worked in silks and wools with a roundel at the centre of a field scattered with stellar medallions and fan-shaped palmettes, the borders worked with boteh against a brightly coloured patchwork ground, Kashmir, late 19th century--68in. x 63in.
