A Concerto mechanical dulcimer,
the 55-note action, with piano/forte control, mandoline lever and ebonised case with hinged full-width lid, tapering turned legs with shaped x-stretchers and pull-out music trays - 41½in. (106cm.) wide, with nine music books.

Lot Essay

Very similar to the Piano Melodico and Piano Orchestrion, with a distinctive and haunting sound produced by its reiterating hammer action. The Concerto was retailed by Thibouville-Lamy and possibly made by Gavioli.
