Of circular form, overall of translucent purple enamel over guilloché sunburst ground, the circular band within two-color gold laurel-leaf rims, the blade at the top with a gold-mounted cabochon moonstone stopper, on a gold raised base, marked under the base
1 15/16in. (4.9cm.) diam.

Lot Essay

The above cigar-cutter with its inventory number is listed among the items confiscated in the Moscow Fabergé branch in April 1919.
