Schloss Reinhartshausen, situated on the edge of the river, in the village of Erbach is one of the oldest and currently the second biggest estate in the Rheingau. The vineyards date back to 1337. In the middle of the nineteen century it passed from the Counts of Westphalia to Princess Marianne of the Netherlands, the wife of Prince Albrecht of Prussia. It remained in the hands of the Princes of Prussia until 1987 and is now privately owned by "Freunde von Reinhartshausen"
