A FINELY CARVED SPINACH-JADE VASE AND COVER

The vase formed of a lozenge cross-section with gently flared sides raised on a splayed foot, decorated on each side of the body with a pair of confronted chilong carved in openwork below the stepped shoulder, flanked on either side of the neck with a pair of handles, each of a mythical beast head suspending a loose ring around its neck; the cover surmounted by a ferocious winged qilin finial, standing foursquare above a pair of kui dragons adjoining the widest corners, the highly polished stone of a lustrous moss-green tone with dark speckled inclusions
