The vase is enamelled on the flaring trumpet neck with two rectangular panels enclosing a scene depicting fishermen, and a bird perched on a branch amidst flowering plants, the baluster lower body with further shaped panels variously decorated with a landscape scene, flowers, antiques, butterflies and a mythical beast, all against an iron-red ground filled with dense scrolls and lotus sprays, with floral bands around the rim, shoulder and spreading foot
