Charlotte Nasmyth was one of Alexander Nasmyth's (1758-1840) eleven children, many of whom were also painters. She painted landscapes, particularly views of Scotland, North Wales and the Home Counties, and exhibited her work at the Royal Academy, the British Institution and the Society of British Artists.
