Lot Essay

The term lambrequins is derived from the silk draperies decorated with bands, fringes and tassels, which were used over windows or as bed valances.
The important commissions given by William and Mary to de Grieksche A show that this factory was considered the best able to meet the demand for richly decorated pieces.
