Circa 1910, glasshouse of Gräflich Schaffgott'sche Josephinenhütten, Schreiberau
The decanter of flattened globular form, cut allover with facets, enriched in raised gilding with an FR monogram with Prussian Royal crown above as borne by King Frederick the Great within an oval cartouche flanked by military trophies and flags, the flared neck applied with a ring, on a faceted foot, the stopper faceted and with air inclusion, 10in. (25.5cm.) high overall; and eleven cut and gilded wine glasses en suite of flared drawn trumpet form, the fluted bowls similarly decorated in gilt, the bases of the bowls and the stems with air inclusions, the hexagonal-section stems cut with scale pattern, the underside of the feet star-cut, 5 5/8in.
