Each fluted baluster shaped, on shaped square base, with conforming detachable nozzle, the foot-rim engraved with initial W with Royal Prussian crown above for Prince Wilhelm, later Emperor Wilhelm I, each marked on foot-rim, also stamped '15 löth'

Another pair of candlesticks from the same service are in the Stiftung Stadtmuseum, Berlin and are illustrated in M. Jonas, Gold und Silber für den Köing, Johann George Hossauer (1794-1874) Goldschmied Sr. Majestät des Köigs, Berlin, 1998, cat. no. 2. Sixteen candlesticks were sold at Kunsthaus Vogel, Dusseldorf, 2 May 1982, lot 90.
